Oroville, Calif. - Freshman Samantha Finnegan netted a pair of goals to help the Butte women's soccer team wrap up non-conference play with a 3-0 win over Diablo Valley on Friday.

Finnegan found the goal in the 20th minute off an assist by sophomore Sadie Weber before tacking on one more insurance goal in the 87th minute on a penalty kick. Weber earned a score in the 82nd minute off a feed from freshman Mackenzie Leeds.

Freshman keeper Deana Marshbanks played all 90 minutes in the goal, earning a save.

Butte (2-6) head to Shasta next to open Golden Valley Conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
