Arcata, Calif. - Sophomore Rylee Jellison counted a hat trick and then some as the Butte women's soccer team defeated Redwoods, 10-1, on Friday afternoon.
Jellison netted four goals in the 10th, 13th, 50th, and 65th minutes, adding an assist in the team's first goal in the first minute, counted by sophomore Amber Thorpe. Thorpe added a pair of assists.
Sophomore Sadie Weber tallied a pair of goals in the 20th and 69th minutes, while freshman Katie Her scored in the 43rd minute, and sophomores Emma Noe and Allison Witter scored in the 54th and 67th minutes, respectively. Her also chalked up three assists.
Freshman Mikayla Holmes played all 90 minutes in the goal.
Butte (4-6) heads to Lake Tahoe next on Friday, Oct. 6 for a 2 p.m. match.
