Norman, Kalberer Lead Roadrunners at Chico Multis

Chico, Calif. - Sophomores Julia Norman and Madison Kalberer hit A and B standards, respectively, to lead the heptathletes for Butte track and field at the Chico State Multis on Thursday and Friday.

Norman scored 3,631, good for fifth at the meet out of 13, in the heptathlon with the following marks to earn an A standard:
200 meters: 27.05
100-meter hurdles: 18.66
800 meters: 2:40.42
Javelin: 24.92 meters
Shot Put: 8.53 meters
High Jump: 1.46 meters
Long Jump: 4.93 meters

And Kalberer was close behind in sixth with 3,406 with the following marks to earn a B standard:
200 meters: 26.28
100-meter hurdles: 18.41
800 meters: 2:40.46
Javelin: 22.90 meters
Shot Put: 7.83 meters
High Jump: 1.34 meters
Long Jump: 4.54 meters

Also competing for the Roadrunners were freshman Talynn Schroeder with a score of 2,941, and sophomore Taylor Murasko, who scored 2,580.

On the men's side, sophomore Blake Suer compiled 4,555 points, while sophomore William Graybill tallied 3,705.

The remaining members of the Butte track and field teams will compete in the Butte Opener on Saturday, Feb. 25. The event begins at 11 a.m.
