Schroeder Qualifies for State at Norcal Multis

Modesto, Calif. - Freshman Talynn Schroeder qualified for the CCCAA Track and Field Championships in the heptathlon at the NorCal Multis, hosted by Modesto Junior College, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Schroeder finished sixth overall, while sophomore Madison Kalberer finished eighth. Sophomore Blake Suer competed in the men's decathlon, finishing 11th overall.

Schroeder scored 3665 overall, finishing first in the 100-meter hurdles (15.44) with top five finishes in the 800 meters (2:43.80) and high jump (1.37 meters).

Kalberer was close behind with a score of 3540, winning the 200 meters (25.85), third in the 800 meters (2:43.73), fourth in the long jump (4.85 meters), and fifth in the high jump (1.37 meters).

Suer posted three top five finishes, earning fourth in the 400 meters (54.13) and pole vault (3.95 meters), while taking fifth in the 100 meters (11.33).

The CCCAA State Championships will be held at Modesto Junior College on Friday-Saturday, May 19-20.
