Hanlon Inks with UNC Wilmington

Oroville, Calif. - Butte women's volleyball outside hitter/middle blocker Emily Hanlon has inked an NLI with UNC Wilmington to continue her athletic and academic career, announced Thursday.

Hanlon led the Roadrunners to a 17-7 overall record, 7-3 in Golden Valley Conference play, including a postseason appearance as the No. 10 seed in the north.

In her one season at Butte, she averaged 2.97 kills per set, hitting .223. She added nine service aces, while posting 0.58 blocks per set.

In the classroom, she graduated with an AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences in May 2021 and an AA-T in Elementary Teacher Education in December 2021, earning both degrees with honors. She also is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.
