Women's Volleyball Announces 2022 Campaign

Oroville, Calif. - The 2022 Butte Women's Volleyball squad announced its 2022 campaign on Wednesday.

The Roadrunners, led by first-year head coach Crystal Thomas, have a pair of scrimmages to open the season on Monday, Aug. 15 against Simpson and Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Chico State.

The team opens up competition at Sacramento City, facing the host Panthers at 4 p.m. before taking on Sierra at 6 p.m. More quads and a pair of tournaments at Delta and LA Mission, followed by a match at West Valley wrap up non-conference competition before the team's home opener on Friday, Oct. 7 against Redwoods.

In 2021, Butte finished second in the Golden Valley Conference, advancing to the NorCal Regional Playoffs as the 10th-seed to face seventh-seeded San Mateo. Overall, the team wrapped up 2021 with a 17-7 overall record, 7-3 in GVC play.
