Women's Volleyball Lands Four on All-Conference Lists

Chico, Calif. - The Butte women's volleyball team landed four on the Golden Valley Conference (GVC) All-Conference lists, led by sophomore outside hitter Emily Borgman, announced on Monday.

Borgman was joined by sophomore setter Carly Thompson and freshmen middle blocker Macy Hines and outside hitter/defensive specialist Kylie Walsh, who earned Honorable Mention honors.

Borgman played in all 10 conference matches, averaging 3.50 kills per set and 4.14 digs per set. She tallied 14 blocks, 11 service aces, and was served the most with 205 receptions.

Thompson directed the Butte offense all season, averaging 9.67 assists per set and 2.72 digs per set in conference play. She added a team-high 16 aces.

Hines led the team with 34 total blocks, including seven solo, in GVC play, with 30 digs and 50 kills. 

And Walsh, who played all around, averaged 2.42 kills per set and 4.30 digs per set in nine conference matches. 

The Roadrunners wrapped 2022 with a 10-18 overall record, 6-4 in conference - good for third.
