157 Student-Athletes Named Scholar-Athletes

Oroville, Calif. - The Butte Athletics Department is pleased to announce that 157 student-athletes were named Butte Athletics Scholar-Athletes.

Overall, 102 student-athletes achieved at least a 3.5 GPA and 49 had a perfect 4.0 GPA. The football team boasted the most selections with 42 with baseball in second with 22. The athletics department has 254 total student-athletes this academic year.

Men's basketball posted the best male team GPA (3.45), and women's basketball earned the top female team GPA (3.89).

To be eligible for scholar-athlete status, a minimum 3.0 GPA is required, as well as the student-athlete must have completed at least 12 units. Additionally, the student must have been cleared for competition and listed on the team's respective Form 3.
