Oroville, Calif. - The Butte baseball team took the series with a 10-2 win over West Valley on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Jason Olsen led the Roadrunner battery with a 3-for-4 outing with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Freshman Carter Lyons and sophomore Aidan Moore also posted multi-hit games with Lyons going 3-for-4 with three runs and Moore posting a 2-for-4 performance with a double.
On the mound, freshman Hunter Timothy picked up his first win of the season. He scattered four hits over six scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts. Freshman Shaw Lee tallied his first save, allowing only one hit over three innings and not giving up any earned runs.
Butte (7-2) looks for the sweep against West Valley on Saturday, Feb. 11. First pitch is slated for 12 p.m.
